Vineyard & Winemaking

‘Single Vineyard’ Sauvignon Blanc Semillon harvested from the clay/limestone slopes of the ‘Annunciation block’ in our vineyard in New Zealand’s Waipara Valley. This close-planted, low yielding, hillside vineyard is unirrigated.

In Bordeaux it is traditional to blend Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes. Sauvignon Blanc has intense flavours and high acidity, Semillon adds palate structure and balances acidity. This wine was fermented and aged sixteen months in 500 litre barrels. Hand labelled, with no compromise on quality.

Flavours

Citrus and honey flavours from Semillon, ripe peach and gooseberry flavours from Sauvignon Blanc, this wine has fresh orchard aromas, lovely balance, and barrel ageing adds power to the palate. A beautiful expression of dry white Waipara Valley wine.
